UniPhier®
“UniPhier®” - Universal Platform for high-quality image enhancing revolution, featuring Panasonic’s state of the art technology, processes all the picture and sound signals by just one chip with speed and accuracy. With simplified circuit architecture and elimination of unnecessary wiring, the noises on the picture and sound signal are reduced to the absolute minimum. On top of complete support for the latest Blu-ray Disc™ standards, i/p conversions and audio signal processing which are usually processed externally are also inside UniPhier®. Truly, UniPhier® is the heart and the brain of Panasonic’s Blu-ray Disc™ products to realise the True to Cinema Quality.

PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus
PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus is a high quality imageprocessing technology developed to precisely process each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc™ video signal in the vertical direction. It reproduces colour data with twice the accuracy of conventional systems to keep colours faithful and sharp.

P4HD (Pixel Precision Progressive Processing)
P4HD processes more than 15 billion pixels per second and applies the optimal processing to every pixel. This allows it to render DVD movies in 1080p quality, express motion smoothly, and draw crisp diagonal lines.

High Precision 4:4:4
High precision 4:4:4 which reproduce the colour signals in horizontal directions with higher resolution have now further advanced. Not only faithfully reproduce details of Full HD movies in 1080p as filmmakers intended, concert and documentary films saved in 1080i are now reproduced with greater details than ever before.

Easy to Use

VIERA Link
VIERA Link allows you to operate Blu-ray Disc™ players and home theatre systems with single VIERA TV remote control. With VIERA Link switching between multiple remote control are no longer necessary. Also there are features such as Auto Input Switching which changes the TV input automatically when you place discs into a player or home theatre system for more convenience.

Fast Booting
The boot time from standby to power-on has been greatly reduced from prior models. With this improvement, movies can now be enjoyed with less stress by less waiting time.

Improved GUI
The menu screen shows a next step when a drive is selected. The Icons are also added on function menu button. Therefore, its easier to select the function you want to operate. You will not be at a loss how to operate.

SD Link
Still images and movie files shot with Lumix (digital still camera) and HD camcorders can be enjoyed on your large screen Full HD TV with HD quality in 1920x1080 resolutions by simply sliding an SD memory card into a Panasonic’s Blu-ray Disc™ products. Also with SD Image Viewer, still images can be enjoyed by making your own slideshow with music.

Environmentally Friendly

VIERA Link Reduces Power Consumption
With Standby Power Save, power consumption is automatically minimised when VIERA TV’s power is turned off with remote control. The Blu-ray Disc™ players are also compatible with Intelligent Auto Standby which puts Blu-ray Disc™ players into standby mode with Quick Start on when the input switches back to TV after movie finishes.

Low Power Consumption
A reduction in power consumption has been achieved compared with 2009 models. Panasonic Blu-ray Disc™ products are designed to consume as little as possible in order to save the natural resources.

Compact Main Unit
Compared to 2009 models, the Blu-ray Disc™ player’s and the main unit of Blu-ray Disc™ home theatre system’s depth is reduced by approximately 40 mm. The reduced depth allows the player and the main unit to fit into slim stylish AV stands.
